PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform thread display of e-mail data even when it is without data of "message ID" and "reply history".;SOLUTION: A hierarchical position localization device for e-mail data acquires header information of an e-mail, group sorting information indicating that e-mail data has reply relation based on mail text information and the like, parentage information indicating which e-mail data that the e-mail data is replying to, and hierarchical position information indicating in which position (depth) of hierarchy in a group that the e-mail data exists.
