PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparatively simple evaluation method capable of predicting accurately adhesion between Cu coating and an Al wire in a manufacturing process of a CA wire, and to estimate beforehand a possibility of exfoliation of the Cu coating, exposure and furthermore disconnection of the Al wire or the like, when manufacturing the object CA wire by wire drawing.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the CA wire, a Cu tape is formed on the Al wire, and a butting part of the Cu tape is welded and then reduced in diameter, and thereby the Al wire is allowed to adhere to Cu tape coating to form a CA base material, and the CA base material is subjected to wire drawing. In an evaluation method of the CA wire, adhesion between the Al wire and the Cu coating is evaluated by measuring a newly-generated surface ratio on a Cu-coated exfoliation surface in a specific stage in the wire drawing process.
