PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically estimate, in a disclosed connection state estimating device, a connection state between devices without depending on experiences or human labor by utilizing a network distance such as RTT between devices in a communication network including a plurality of devices.;SOLUTION: The disclosed connection state estimating device first obtains a network distance between terminal devices constituting the communication network, next assumes branch point candidates to be connected with arbitrary three terminal devices, and calculates the network distance between each of the devices and each of the branch point candidates. This processing is performed on all combinations for extracting arbitrary three devices from the terminal devices.
