PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carrier by which a carrier having a uniform resin coating layer can be obtained by eliminating a temperature difference between the surface side and the inner side of the resin coating layer even when the resin coating layer is thick, upon forming the resin coating layer on the surface of a carrier core, and to provide a carrier manufactured by the above method, a two-component developer containing the carrier, and a developing device and an image forming apparatus using the two-component developer. In the resin particle adhering step, resin particles are mechanically adhered to the surface of the carrier core to obtain a resin particle adhered carrier.
