PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in an elevator having high information efficiency.;SOLUTION: Appearance of a passenger in an elevator car 10 is determined by analyzing images in the elevator car 10 imaged by a monitoring camera 30. For example, height of passenger and length of hair are determined and the number of adult men, adult women, and children is determined based on their clothing. When there are adult women or one child and one adult man in the elevator car 10, crime prevention images recorded on a recording medium 23 or/and images in the car imaged by the monitoring camera 30 are displayed on the monitor 11. When there are only adult men or a person other than adult man in the elevator car 10, notifying images recorded in a recording part 23 are displayed on the monitor 11. When there are two persons or more including an adult women or a child and an adult man in the elevator car 10, crime prevention images and notifying images are displayed on the monitor 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
