PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure and a reinforcing method of a bridge pier, which achieves excellent workability of construction work and reinforces the existing bridge pier certainly.;SOLUTION: In this reinforcing method, concrete 19a as first concrete is placed between the pair of webs 27 of a bridge girder, a plurality of holes are formed in the web 27, a steel material 13a as a first steel material is provided to sandwich in the concrete 19a between the pair of webs 27 and pass through the webs 27 and the concrete 19a, the steel material 13a is inserted into a sheath, the inside of the sheath is filled with grout while it is tightly stretched in substantially horizontal direction between both of the webs 27, and the steel product 13a (PC steel product) is fixed on the webs 27 on both sides through an anchor plate or the like. That is, a prestress force in the horizontal direction is applied on the concrete 19a, thereby generating a strong frictional force on a contact face with the webs 27.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
