PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to recognize whether it is under conditions that image blur is little. PSOLUTION: The image blur correcting device includes: a high-pass filter means 104 for a shake signal from a shake detection means; a calculation means 108 for calculating a shake cancel amount based on output from the high-pass filter means; a shake correction means for correcting image blur by using the shake cancel amount; and effect decision means 114, 116 and 118 for deciding the degree of an image blur correcting effect by dividing the frequency of the shake signal into a plurality of different bands and comparing an amplitude level in the divided band with a specified threshold.
