PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantify the possibility of a shoot making scores from a specified position of attention in a team sport to compete for scores between two teams by shooting a ball into a competitor's goal.;SOLUTION: In the scoring possibility quantifying apparatus 1, an intercepting area setting means 13 sets an intercepting zone B₁, in which an each player can intercept the shoot, in a real space based on the disposition information a_i of defending players, an intercepting zone image computing means 14 computes a projection image (an intercepting zone image C_i) on a prescribed image surface of the intercepting zone B_i seen from the position of attention f, and a total sum computing means 17 computes the total sum (the whole intercepting zone image D) of the intercepting zone images C_i of the respective players. A goal image computing means 15 computes a projection image (a goal image G) on a prescribed image surface of a goal opening zone seen from the position of attention f, and a total difference computing mens 18 computes a shoot possible zone image E obtained by subtracting the total intercepting zone image D from the goal image G.
