A nitrogen source supplies a flow of nitrogen to a cooling circuit in the turbine section of a gas turbine. The nitrogen in the cooling circuit absorbs HEAT from the turbine section and flows to a flow divider where the heated nitrogen is split into a combuster flow and a return flow. The combuster nitrogen flow is injected into the gas turbine combuster. The return nitrogen flow is returned to the flow of nitrogen supplied to the gas turbine cooling circuit.
