PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly compensate a creep error and a creep recovery error of a load detector.;SOLUTION: It is found out that the tilt, that is, a variation amount per unit time, is drastically varied at a boundary of a certain time point tp by observing a load signal f(t) output from a load cell when a load is applied to the load cell as the load detector in detail. In a time zone from a load application time point t0 to the time point tp, the creep error included in the load signal f(t) is compensated in correspondence with characteristics of the load signal f(t) in the time zone. In a time zone after the time point tp, the creep error is compensated in correspondence with the characteristics of the load signal f(t) in the time zone. Thus, concrete creep error compensation can be achieved in a series of time zones until the creep error is completely converged from the load application time point t0.
