PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly hold treatment pressure of a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) therapy at an optimal level relative to an airway resistance of a patient. PSOLUTION: An application section consisting of a blower 112, a pipe 110, a tube 106 and a mask 104 applies the treatment pressure to the upper airway of the patient during sleep. A measurement section consisting of a combination of a shutter 120, a shutter control section 122, a pressure sensor 124 and a treatment pressure computing section 126 non-invasively measures the breathing resistance of the patient during sleep. A control section consisting of a combination of a flow sensor 116 and a blower control section 114 controls the treatment pressure to be applied according to the breathing resistance to be measured during sleep.
