PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To nondestructively diagnose the remaining life of control wiring of receiving and transforming facilities and to easily diagnose remaining lives by converting the remaining lives and environmental properties into numeral values.;SOLUTION: A remaining life diagnosing apparatus includes a photometry control part 6 for acquiring, as measurement data via a probe 1 and a spectrometer 2, reflected light from the wiring irradiated with light for inspection; a reflectance difference computing part 11 for computing differences in reflectance for inspection on the basis of the measurement data; and a remaining life diagnosing part 13 for setting a prediction expression of secular changes of characteristic values through the use of the difference in reflectance from the same item as the wiring or an equivalent item when prescribed years have elapsed, the number of elapsed years of the wiring during inspection, and a computed difference in reflectance, taking, as the life of the wiring, the period at which a predicted value of a future characteristic value determined on the basis of a set prediction expression is equal to a characteristic value as a life threshold value set to the wiring, and computing the remaining life of the wiring on the basis of the difference between this life and a current number of elapsed years.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
