PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet sorting apparatus, a paper sheet processing apparatus and a paper sheet sorting method capable of increasing the sorting capacity without increasing the apparatus size and without requiring many apparatuses.;SOLUTION: The paper sheet sorting apparatus includes: a plurality of first sorting blades 22a which are arranged in a cylinder along the inner circumferential surface within a rotating drum 21 and of which the transverse end parts are superposed with a first gap therebetween to form an inner sorting region 24a; a plurality of second sorting blades 22b which are arranged in a cylinder along the outside of the first sorting blades 22a and of which the transverse end parts are superposed with a second gap therebetween being narrower than the first gap to form an outer sorting region 24b; and a driving mechanism 28 which causes paper sheets thinner than the first gap among a plurality of paper sheets having different thicknesses charged into the inner sorting region 24a to pass through the first gap and feeds them into the outer sorting region 24b and, thereafter, causes paper sheets thinner than the second gap to pass through the second gap by rotating the rotating drum 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
