PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-core balanced cable capable of securing predetermined characteristic impedance between a signal conductor and a shield conductor by having predetermined capacitance, enhancing the degree of coupling between the signal conductors by reducing a separating distance between them, and reducing a skew and signal attenuation.;SOLUTION: This two-core balanced cable is so composed that two core wires 11 each formed by insulating and covering an internal conductor 12 with a first insulation layer 13 are paired; their circumferences are covered with an external conductor 14 and the periphery of the external conductor 14 is covered with a second insulation layer 16. The thickness Da of the first insulation layer 13 is set to a thickness providing capacitance larger than that required when the external conductor is arranged in contact with the periphery of the first insulation layer 13; a third insulation layer 17 is arranged between the first insulation layers 13 and the external conductor 14; and thereby required characteristic impedance is provided in combination with the first insulation layers 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
