Disclosed herein are compatibilized polyamide-poly(arylene ether) thermoplastic resin compositions, comprising:(a) about 10 to about 50 weight percent of a poly(arylene ether);(b) about 5 percent to about 20 percent of a hydrogenated block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene and a copolymer of ethylene;(c) about 30 to about 60 percent of a biopolyamide; andwherein all weight percents are based on the total weight of the composition; and wherein the biomass carbon content of the resin composition is at least 13 percent as measured by ASTM D6866.;Also disclosed are methods for making such resins and articles derived therefrom.
