In a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system based on path finding, the method applied to the OFDM system uses an ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm and a PTS to reduce a PAPR value, and an area of a computing circuit. In a simulated result, the method can reduce the PAPR effectively, and can be executed by a lower level of complexity of the computation.
