HYDROGEL, ACCOUNT, METHODS TO PRODUCE A HYDROGEL OR ACCOUNT, TO IMPLEMENT AN ACCOUNT OR IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE AND CELLS ON A PATIENT, TO BLOCK BLOOD VESSELS, AND TO FORM A HYDROGEL, LABORATORY, LABORATORY DEVICE, CONTRAST OR RADIOOPACO MATERIAL, AND, EMBALLIC THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITION. The present invention is directed to a hydrogel containing an alginate having a low molecular weight (for example, less than 75,000 Daltons), where alginate is present in a high concentration (for example, in more than 2.5% in hydrogel weight). The present invention is also directed to methods of producing and using the hydrogel, as well as products containing the hydrogel.
