Wood thermal modification method, especially that of compressed spruce wood

The invented wood thermal modification method is characterized in that wood without moisture content is put into a hermetically closeable chamber wherein it is heated under a reduced pressure in the range of 0.03 to 0.05 MPa to a temperature in the range of 170 to 240 degC and this temperature and pressure values are maintained for a period of 4 to 10 hours. Subsequently, wood is cooled down in the whole cross section thereof and subsequently it is conditioned to balanced moisture in the range of 5 to 9 percent.
