The application discloses a method for manufacturing a cemented composite, in which: (1) an extrudable cement composition is mixed by first forming a fiber mixture containing fibers, water and a rheology modifier, followed by the addition of hydraulic cement; (2) extruding the extrudable cementitious composition into a crude extrudate, characterized by dimensional stability and retaining, essentially, a predetermined cross-sectional shape; (3) remove some of the water through evaporation to reduce density and increase porosity; and (4) heat the raw extrudate at a temperature exceeding 65 ° C, but not exceeding 99 ° C. This process allows to obtain a cemented composite suitable for use as a substitute for wood. In particular, due to the use of higher curing temperatures for the preparation of cemented construction products, construction products have lower bulk density and higher bending strength than conventional products. Construction products that mimic wood can be sawed, nails can be driven into them and screws can be screwed in, like in ordinary wood.
