The present invention provides dual energy hour meter with intelligent resonance protocol i.e. Intelligent silent observer (ISO) system for heavy duty equipment. It senses resonance based on vibration pattern of any equipment. In dual mode, this device acts as dual mode which measures energy unit from one or two power supplies and running hour units, cumulatively. In mono mode, this device measures cumulative running hours of heavy duty equipments such as DG sets. Also this information is automatically sent by message to central server, on periodic basis such as daily or predefined time or as on when requested. It is also possible to send request code or status code at any point of time to know whether equipment is working or not. Moreover built-in memory is provided to store past records and also in-built battery is provided to supply back-up power.
