A method and device for preventing faults from occurring, due to the formation of bubbles in electric equipments, by determining a safe operation time in which an overcharge or temperature increase may be applied to the electric equipment before water vapor bubbles are generated in the solid insulating material and dielectric fluid, thus correlating the distribution of the temperature of the solid insulating material and dielectric fluid according to an estimated time of the application of the overcharge level with the distribution of a bubble-forming temperature so as to determine if the safe operation time is lower than the estimated time of the application of the level of overcharge or temperature increase, and generating a fault risk alarm.
