The present invention comprises a method and device for tracking the maximum power point and the synchronization for interconnecting an inverter of direct current to alternate current to the electric network, which comprises the control of the current requested to photovoltaic panels for obtaining the maximum power available in said photovoltaic panels according to the solar radiation to which the same are exposed and therefore obtaining the maximum use of the electric power generated by said solar panel; also comprises the tracking of the panel voltage, the adjustment of the current delivered to the electric network, as well as the control of a current converter for being coincident with the AC voltage phase of the electric system, the detection of the synchronization of the inverter tension with the electric system tension, which is based on the calculus of the time difference between the zero crossings of the line voltage and the reference signal of the current to be delivered to t he electric network and the adjustment order of the phase depending on the requirement of the power factor for starting the delivery of current of the inverter to the electric system.
