The present invention refers to an equatorial-type solar tracker which uses electronic, electric and mechanical components for maintaining two solar panels oriented to the sun in a permanent manner, where the surfaces thereof are perpendicular the sun beams in order to use the whole surface for converting the solar energy into electric power. The invention increases the efficiency of the solar panels in up to 62% with regard to panels installed in a fixed position, using a wide mechanical advantage and a low energy consumption, taking advantage of the fact that the day travel of the sun is performed at a uniform speed of 1° in 4 minutes of time, which tilt is slowly varied.
