The present invention refers to an improved process for purifying the modified complex of benzalkonium chloride and diallyl disulphide oxide obtained from natural extracts of allicin resulting from garlic combined with benzalkonium chloride and carbamide, which may be used for formulating different pharmaceutical, ophthalmic, topic, disinfectant or antiseptic compositions without forming flocs with time and storage. The modified and purified complex of benzalkonium chloride and diallyl disulphide oxide has the following structural formula.
