A computer-implemented method and apparatus for detecting a change of user during a wager-type game is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: (a) receiving at least one item of identity verification data from a mobile device; (b) enabling, by at least one processor, at least one service on the mobile device based at least in part on a match between the item of identity verification data received and at least one other item of identity verification data obtained previously, where the service comprises a wager-type game; (c) subsequent to enabling the service, obtaining at least one item of behavioural data regarding a user of the mobile device during game play, where the item of behavioural data comprises at least one of: blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, handwriting, and body movement of a user; (d) determining that the behavioural data does not match at least one item of behavioural data obtained previously; and (e) based at least in part on determining that the item of behavioural data does not match the item of behavioural data obtained previously, prompting, by the processor, the user of the mobile device to provide identity verification data.
