Disclosed is a method for facilitating in-order processing of data packets in wireless communication handover which is performed by at least one apparatus in a wireless communication network. Firstly, a handover command for transferring the communications of a mobile device (402) to a target base (412) station is received. A sequence index of a last service data unit received in order from the mobile device (402) is determined. The sequence index is then transmitted to the target base station (412) in response to the handover command. Wireless communications apparatuses for performing this method are also disclosed.
