Control circuit for pick-up in inductive power transfer system selectively shunts diodes in rectifier bridge to reduce transient disturbances to primary current
Control circuit for pick-up in inductive power transfer system selectively shunts diodes in rectifier bridge to reduce transient disturbances to primary current
Disclosed is an inductive power transfer pick-up controller. The controller is comprised of an input for receiving an AC current (IL3) from a resonant circuit, an output for supplying a DC current to a load, and a control circuit. The control circuit is electrically coupled to the input and the output. The control circuit is comprised of a diode bridge (formed from D1, D2, D3 and D4), shunting switches (S1 and S2), and control means. The control means are provided for selectively operating the switches (S1 and S2) to shunt first and second diodes (D1 and D2) of the diode bridge in synchrony with the AC current (IL3).
