Disclosed herein is the use of rasagiline, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of rasagiline at a dose of 1 mg of rasagiline per day in the manufacture of a medicament to reduce the rate of progression of Parkinson's disease in an early stage Parkinson's disease patient.
