Landing gear with skids and anti-tilting method of a rotorcraft provided with such a landing gear

The gear (1) has bases (11, 12) connected together by front and rear cross-pieces (8, 2), and provided with a longitudinal support part and another longitudinal support part (120), respectively. A sliding unit (15) includes one surface (41) e.g. curved plane plate, and another surface (42) that are fixed on contact areas (51, 52) partially covering front parts (20, 30) of one of the bases, respectively. Each support part includes a tube with given diameter. One of the surfaces includes a contact strip with the ground contact width of value between 120 to 140 percent of the diameter. An independent claim is also included for a method for limiting risk of tilting, and preventing the tilting toward the front or on a side of a rotocraft during landing.
