The invention relates to a process for extracting arsenic from the auriferous arsenical pyrites. According to the invention, the process consists in treating the pyrites having an arsenic content of minimum 0.3% with a solution containing sodium sulphide and sodium hydroxide at a temperature of 40...60°C, for 2...4 h, followed by the filtration of the suspension wherefrom the pyrite with a content of arsenic of 0.2...0.5% is separated, and the resulting alkaline solution is acidified with sulphuric acid up to a pH value of 0.5...1, wherefrom the arsenic sulphide with a concentration of 98.5% and a grain size of 30...70 m is separated.
