The present invention relates to a process of phytoremediation of lead-contaminated soils by using mulberry tree hybrids Morus spp. inoculated with endomycorrhizae of the vesicular-arbuscular type for at least 15% of the root biomass used to set up high-density double-strip plantations exploited for growing silkworms Bombyx mori and producing cocoons for the textile industry.
