The invention relates to the field of agriculture and in particular to technologies of propagating fruit, berry and ornamental crops by green (summer) cuttings with the aid of a capillary-air method of propagating crops by green (summer) cuttings such that a green (summer) cutting which is part of a shoot, planted into a substrate 7 of coarse sand, where forming adventive (additional) roots takes place, by lower (basal) part thereof. Above the place of rooting the cutting rooting conditions (rooting term, cutting type, moisture content, temperature, lighting etc.) are created and maintained. Atmospheric pressure P (atm) has effect on the water poured into a tray 1 and, according to the Pascal's law, is evenly transferred in all directions. The water rises to surface A through a boulder bed, through openings in a container 3 by capillars of an earth mixture 8 and a coarse-sand substrate 7. From said surface A the water evaporates into a transparent bell 4 and partially into atmosphere. Because of a difference of the temperatures of the environment and the coarse-sand substrate 7, the vapour is condensed and settles onto walls of the transparent bell 4 and a rooted cutting 6, linked with the atmosphere through openings in the lower part of the container 3 and an opening in the upper part of the transparent bell 4, while a plug 5 is removed, forms a thinnest stable water film, thus providing a favourable aqueous-air regime for the cutting as a whole.
