The invention relates to inorganic chemistry. A method for growth of monocrystals of solid solutions of copper chloride-iodide pentathiophosphate CuPS(ClI) by chemical transport reactions comprises the stage heating of vacuum quarts ampoules containing starting components in necessary stoichometric ratio to maximal temperature and keep at that temperature during 24 hours and further growth of monocrystals. Elementary copper, phosphorous and sulfur and binary copper chloride CuCl and copper iodide CuI are used as starting components for synthesis, at that maximal temperature of synthesis is 973±5 K, and growth is carried out using stoichometric mix CuCl/CuI as transporting agent rate of 20 mg/cmfree volume of ampoule. The use of the invention allows to simplify the method.
