A method for cryopreserving erythrocytes comprises dosed addition thereto of a cryoprotective solution, comprising a cryoprotector, namely oxyethylated glycerine, with a polymerization degree of 25. The cryoprotective solution is supplemented with a cryoprotector, in particular dimethylacetamide, at a ratio of the cryoprotectors of 1:1, and addition of the cryoprotective solution is carried out with a speed of 10 ml/min.
