METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE REGION OF LONG-TERM VISCOUS DESTRUCTION OF MATERIALS UNDER CREEP CONDITIONS

A method for the determination of the region of long-term viscous destruction of material under creep conditions consists in that a group of material samples under investigation is subjected to creep testing, with plotting creep curves in coordinates ε-t, with determination of minimal rates of creep EMBED Equation.3 min, the coefficients B and n are determined, by the values of coefficients B and n the region and time of long-term viscous destruction is determined. The second group of the material samples is subjected to on uniaxial short-term tension test, with plotting the diagram of instantaneous deformation in coordinates σ - ε, with determination of the value of relative elongation at the instant of destruction δ, the value 1/n is calculated, and by the results of comparison of those values the region of long-term viscous destruction under creep conditions is determined.
