METHOD FOR ASSESSING SIZE OF HILL-SACHS DEFECT

A method for assessing the size of Hill-Sachs defect is based on computed tomography in axial projection followed by the calculation of the defect area and its comparison with the control head parameter. In tomographic image of the head, the anatomical reference points of the anterior contour of the lesser tubercle and the posterior contour of the greater tubercle are assessed and the length of the arch of the articular surface between the contours stated above is measured. The area of the articular surface is used as the control head parameter.
