METHOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF FORMATION OF SECONDARY OSTEOPENIA IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH CHRONIC SOMATIC DISEASES

A method for diagnostics of formation of secondary osteopenia in children and adolescents with chronic somatic diseases includes determination of bio-chemical markers of metabolism of bone tissue. One evaluates metabolism of glycosaminoglycans through investigation in blood serum of content of general hexosaminoglycansulphates (GAG) and fraction composition of those: chondroitin-6-sulphate (GAGI), chondroitin-4-sulphate (GAGII), and formation of secondary osteopenias in children with chronic pathology of gastrointestinal tract is diagnosed by content of GAGII. In children with chronic pathology of kidney formation of secondary osteopenias is diagnosed by content of general GAG. In children with bronchial asthma formation of secondary osteopenias is diagnosed by content of GAGI.
