A method for evaluating the effectiveness of treatment with losartan of patients with coronary heart disease with angina pectoris and hypertension at disorder of left ventricular diastolic function by "hypertrophic" type comprises the comparison of patients before and after treatment. Before treatment with losartan in patients at rest Doppler echocardiography is conducted and transmitral flow is determined by measuring the rate of early diastolic filling. After treatment with losartan the similar study is performed, and if the rate of early diastolic filling of the left ventricle is increased by 16% or more compared to the rate before treatment, the hemodynamic outcome and antianginal effect are assessed as positive.
