A method for reproducing the heterozygous genotype of higher plants on the basis of cytoplasmic male sterility comprises obtaining alternatively complementary homozygous lines from a parental heterozygous genotype, with said lines restoring the genotype at crossing, as well as multiplying and crossing these lines. A plant on the basis of cytoplasmic male sterility, which is heterozygous, and by fertility fixing/restoring genes thereof, is taken as the parental heterozygous genotype, and pairs of lines are selected in such a manner as to allow one of the lines in a pair to be male-fertile (a fertility restorer - S), and the other - male sterile (S), for multiplying of which a sterility fixer (N) is created combining the nuclear genome of the male-sterile form (rfrf) with a wild-type mitochondriome (N) by means of microinjection of nuclei of the male-sterile form with the nucleus inactivated therein.
