A method for diagnosing the stages of pneumoconiosis (PC) and chronic occupational dust-associated (DB) bronchitis in the workers of the metal melting industry comprises the assessment of the functional activity of serum proteins by measuring the fluorescence intensity. Luminol-dependant fluorescence of blood samples is measured. The first stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 5328±103 cps. The second stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 6008±126 cps at excitation wavelength of 297 nm. The first stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1620±85 cps. The second stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1782±113 cps at excitation wavelength of 404 nm. The first stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1554±95 cps. The second stage of PC is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1746±106 cps at excitation wavelength of 434 nm. The first stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 5810±202 cps. The second stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 6029±151 cps. The third stage of DP is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 6433±169 cps at excitation wavelength of 297 nm. The first stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1726±79 cps. The second stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1788±124 cps. The third stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1896±123 cps at excitation wavelength of 404 nm. The first stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1653±109 cps. The second stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1726±92 cps. The third stage of DB is diagnosed when phosphorescence intensity is 1868±113 cps at excitation wavelength of 434 nm.
