BIPOLAR ELECTROSURGICAL INSTRUMENT (ELECTRIC KNIFE) FOR HIGH-FREQUENCY SURGERY

A bipolar electrosurgical instrument (electric knife) for high-frequency surgery consists of the body with two conductive wires that are insulated one from another. The proximal end contains coagulation electrodes located at the distance one from another. The distal end contains two plugs for connecting to high-frequency power supply. The coagulation electrodes are not insulated one from another and are shaped in a way allowing for cutting the live tissues on the surface of the organs to be operated with concurrent coagulation and blood arrest.
