Discloses is a method for iodine prophylactics in children of infancy age that are at natural feeding, in region of moderate iodine deficiency. For provision of adequate thyroid function in child prophylactic administration of potassium iodide preparation by mother in physiological dose (200 µg/day) is recommended, in single dose during the whole lactation period, and in the second six months of life 50 µg/day to the child, having grinded and added to any liquid.
