METHOD FOR SELECTING EXTENT OF RECONSTRUCTION AND ASSESSING QUALITY OF SURGERY ON MAJOR BLOOD VESSELS

A method for selecting the extent of reconstruction and assessing the quality of the surgery on the major blood vessels provides for intraoperative and postoperative examination of the blood vessels. Multifrequency probe in the sterile sheath with silicon tip filled with gel is installed onto the separated artery. Extent of the occlusion and hemodynamic parameters are examined within the surgical wound. The following parameters are assessed: peak velocity of the systole of blood flow (Vps); end-diastolic velocity of blood flow (Ved); diameter of the blood vessel D); pulsation index (Gosling) - PI; peripheral resistance index (Pourcelot) - RI; systole/diastole ratio (S/d); velocity averaged by time (Tamx); blood flow rate (Vvol); acceleration index (V ac). According to data obtained, the optimal reconstruction mode is selected. At the end of the surgery, the control examination is performed. The surgery is considered as satisfactory when blood flow rate in deep femoral artery is at least 0.149±0.049 L/min and in abdominal artery at least 0.130±0.072 L/min.
