A method for control of an asynchronous generator with capacitor excitation, wherein excitation of the generator is performed from a controlled reactive power source, an initial magnetization battery and a controlled excitation battery are installed. Sensors for measuring active and reactive current/voltage components are introduced, whose parameters value are entered to a computing unit, wherein a blocks of auxiliary capacitor are connected depending on mismatch between the given (reference) quality index and real value in a generator-load circuit. Moreover, the load connection is occurred with a delay, within which prestart forcing of generator capacitor excitation is performed.
