A method for diagnosis of coronary flow reserve consists in that magnetic resonance imaging of the heart at rest and under stress with inotropic stimulation of regional myocardial contractility by-step administration of different doses of dobutamine with sequentially increasing doses (5, 10, 20, 30; 40 ug/kg/min) with intravenous contrast is carried out to the patient, and at determining in early phase of submaximal heart rate increasing due to administration of high doses of dobutamine [30-40 mg/(kg×m)] hypoperfusion zone located subendocardially respectively with specific coronary pool, and during the late phase of increasing (15-20 min.) certain changes are not accompanied with accumulation of contrast, or at administration of low doses of dobutamine [5-10 mg/(kg×min.)] improved contractile is determined and at administration of higher dobutamine doses [20-40 mg/(kg×min.)] - deterioration of segmental contractility ("biphasic response") the coronary flow reserve limit is diagnosed.
