A machine for cutting refractory brick comprises an abrasive wheel, a mobile carriage with stops and a lead screw. It further comprises a reverse low speed drive made in the form of a L-shaped frame, which is movable in a vertical plane, an actuator mounted on the frame to be movable relative thereto, two-stage belt drive, whose belt tightener is its intermediate pulley. The lead screw has a shank of removable heads made in the form of a wheel or a pulley.
