PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON, GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON, AND FIBER-REINFORCED MOLDED RESIN ARTICLE
ABSTRACTPROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON, 5 GLASS FIBER FABRIC HAVING SILICA MICROPARTICLES ADHERED THEREON, AND FIBER-REINFORCED MOLDED RESIN ARTICLEA production process for producing a glass fiber fabric that has 10 good smoothness and is excellent in resin impregnation property is provided. When in a weaving step, glass fiber yarns are woven to obtain a glass fiber fabric, first, in an attachment step, the glass fiber fabric is immersed in an aqueous dispersion of silica microparticles to attach the 15 silica microparticles on the glass filament surfaces of the glass fiber fabric to obtain a fabric having silica microparticles attached thereon. Next, in a fiber-opening step, a fiber-opening treatment is provided to the fabric having silica microparticles attached thereon to obtain a fiber-opened fabric in which the warp and weft of the fabric having 20 silica microparticles attached thereon are widened. Next, in a heating step, the fiber-opened fabric is heat-treated in a heating furnace or the like to fuse some or all of the silica microparticles attaching on the fiber-opened fabric, on the glass filament surfaces to obtain a glass fiber fabric having silica microparticles adhered thereon.25Figure 1
