A method for treating and recycling bypass dusts from the cement production process is as follows: a) contacting the by-pass dust with an aqueous phase and mixing it to obtain a homogeneous slurry, whereby water-soluble components of the bypass B) performing a solid-liquid separation to separate the solids contained in the slurry, leaving a brine, c) separating heavy metals present in the brine and precipitating calcium as sparingly soluble calcium salts CaCO 3, to obtain a treated brine, d) subjecting the treated brine to fractional crystallization.
