The device of the invention is a converter of digital data packets sent by an external measuring device in sinusoidal encoder signals incremental position type. The invention proposes a new device that overcomes the limitations identified in the prior art simulators encoders incremental position input digital packets in two aspects: 1) the conversion to sinusoidal incremental output is correct without discontinuities even although the frequency of reception of the data packets is not completely constant, in effect making use of a balancing of the detected delays; and 2) the conversion is appropriately performed, even if no lines synchronism with the external measuring device, using an auto-synchronization procedure with the rate of incoming packets.
