The present invention relates to novel amidine, thiourea and guanidinederivatives ofappropriately substituted 2-aminobelzothiazoles, 2-amino-3,1-4H-benzothiazinesand3--amino-1,4-3H-benzothiazines, as understood from formula (I), the relatedpharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof:Formula (I):(see formula I)and the use of said products and the corresponding pharmaceutical formulationsfor thetreatment of neurodegenerative pathologies such as cerebral ischemia,neurodegenerationinduced by cranial trauma, Alzheimer's disease, Multiple Sclerosis andAmyotrophicLateral Sclerosis.
